Fraud Prevention - Mascoma Bank

Fraud Prevention

At Mascoma Bank, we take fraud prevention very seriously, and we encourage you to do so as well. Unfortunately, there are many people out there who are using increasingly complex methods to steal money through fraud and identity theft.

Mascoma Bank will never ask for your account information or passwords via text messages or phone calls, nor will we ever contact you and ask you to log in to digital banking. The only time we ask for personal information is when you contact us and we need to verify you really are who you say you are.

Keep Your Info Current

To help make sure the information we have for you is correct, our branch visitors will be asked to confirm that their contact information is up to date, including home address, phone numbers, and email addresses.

Question the Call

If you ever receive a phone call from someone saying they represent the bank and asking for personal information, hang up the phone. If someone texts or emails you for this information, do not respond.

We’re Here For You

We are here to support our customers, and we want to keep your money safe. Please call us to report any suspicious activity that could be a scam.
