Beth Hayward, SVP Community Development Lender & Investment Officer at Mascoma Bank
Beth Hayward is a Community Development Lender and Investment Officer with Mascoma Bank’s Community Development team.
Beth brings more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, including commercial lending, treasury services, private banking, and real estate finance. For more than 16 years, Beth provided private‑banking‑level service to business clients while managing large commercial lending and deposit portfolios and building trust-based, long‑term relationships.
In her role at Mascoma, Beth supports financing and investments in complex tax credit projects, including New Market Tax Credits, Historic Tax Credits, and Low‑Income Housing Tax Credits, and is passionate about the lasting impact these projects have in communities.
Beth is actively engaged in community leadership, serving on the Advisory Board for BMO Harris New Markets Fund, as Board Chair for Bangor Housing Development Corporation, and on the Boards of Directors for Four Directions Development Corporation. She also serves on the Genesis Fund Loan Committee and the Investment Advisory Committee for All Souls Congregational Church. Beth earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine and resides in Bangor, Maine. She enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, and Irish Terrier, and has a love for great food, farmers markets, cooking, traveling, skiing, and hiking.
