Ready for some baseball? The Upper Valley Nighthawks are back for an exciting 2021 season. This nonprofit baseball team brings outstanding collegiate baseball players from across the country to the Upper Valley for a chance to compete in the New England Collegiate Baseball League. The team will play approximately 44 games in the regular season this summer, with 22 home games planned for the Maxfield Sports Complex in White River Junction, Vermont.
Noah Crane, Founder and President of the Upper Valley Nighthawks, said, “We are so much more than the game. We truly value the importance of bettering our community by bringing people together over positive and shared experiences.” The Nighthawks have made it their mission to provide educational opportunities and support the community through internships, children’s summer camps, and by promoting other nonprofits in the area.
Thanks to a lead contribution from Mascoma Bank, tickets to all home games will be free this summer. “As a way to reward our community for enduring a difficult and stressful year, we want this season to be one of celebration and a return to normalcy,” said Crane. The Nighthawks encourage fans to simply show up and enjoy great baseball, great food, and great people. “We are immensely grateful for our partners Mascoma Bank and the Jack and Dorothy Byrne Foundation for their support, which enabled us to offer free tickets to everyone.”
The Mascoma Bank team hopes to see you at a game this summer! We are extremely happy to support this initiative that brings free entertainment to the community. Check out the full Nighthawks schedule here.
